    Pros

The group of people were nice

    Cons

Company was technically challenged. People were stuck in the old mindset of Shore Bank.

I worked at Urban Partnership Bank full-time

    Pros

Great group of people who are working on a great mission. Small enough to get broad exposure to banking, big enough to look at decent sized deals.

    Cons

Still cleaning up after inheriting a mess from the old ShoreBank, but that leads to good learning projects.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving ahead. The atmosphere is positive and the communication is good.

    Pros

Employee's were amazing, customer were great to work with and for!

    Cons

Systems were antiquated, weak management, extremely political and favoritism ruled the culture

    Advice to Management

Treat people with dignity and respect; less politics/favoritism and promote those that work hard and show results!

I worked at Urban Partnership Bank part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pros were that the bank closed at 5pm, the location of the bank is in Midtown and extremely close to Wayne State. They have an ATM for your convenience.

    Cons

No raises, they don't provide parking for their employees. We had to pay daily 5.00 to park our vehicles. That is unsafe to be walking down the street to our vehicles from a bank. Safely is not their concern. This bank operated like a mom and pop business, not like a bank should be run.

Not Enough Brick and Mortar Branch Locations. No Single Family Mortgage Lending Product and Footprint

    Pros

Management was very flexible and open to your ideas. Most of the customers were older in age and were a pleasure to business with

    Cons

Had few advancement opportunities being that it wasnt a huge bank. The position required a lot of detailed duties and responsibilities but the wages did not match.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the open door policy. And continue to ask your employees for their ideas and feedback to what going on around them.
