Pay and benefits, like 401K match, are decent - yearly raises (2-3%) Potential for bonuses. Low risk of layoffs. Paid FMLA. Supportive of community volunteering.

Cons

Little to no upward or inter-departmental opportunities for mobility or advancement. Training and promotion opportunities are not uniform among departments and give the appearance of favoritism. Occasionally intense physical or dangerous work. A lean and mean mentality among some managers can lead to overworked staff and low morale. General lack of respect among some management for "valve-turners." Out-dated sick and vacation policies.

Worst management I have ever seen (Misery inducing). Micro management, no getting ahead here unless you are in the good ole boy network, old school attitudes on so many things (mainly being there and at your desk). They will discriminate against you if you have health issues and have to miss work for any reason. Tenured employees have a harder time getting deserved promotions and raises than new hires.

The company is smart with its investments, Applicants can be assured they are applying for a career, not just a “job”.

Cons

There’s a disconnect between the company’s presentation of its workforce and the reality of how they are performing . It seems to have trouble replacing talent as it leaves, leaving a void in middle management. Slick marketing provides curb appeal to applicants, but beyond that is a fatigued workforce riddled with adaptation to ever changing internal policies and growing list of responsibilities.
