    Neutral Outlook

I worked at ValueNotes full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Client exposure - Not many companies allow this for lower level of analysts, this is a great way to gain some experience speaking to higher executives in foreign client companies Project quality at times is great, CI & Due diligence projects are worth it if you're in the eye of your manager Monthly review meeting - The CEO takes this seriously, allowing inputs from all employees on how the company should meet its targets Office culture - Relaxed, you will meet great people throughout your time. Co-workers like analysts, some senior analysts and BD people are fun to hang out with.

    Cons

All the other times, project quality is worst. If it is not mentioned to you early, most projects involve cold-calling to obtain proprietary information. No database subscription and thus, limited capacity to perform high-level secondary research. Inexperienced project managers - Always led to problems and politics. They will blame the analysts for problems created by them or Senior analysts. Illogical recruitment policy - Hire desperate & non-smart people on low salaries and get the most work out of them Top Management - Rigid and arrogant on certain occasions, they take interest in protecting those employees who stay longer. Pay - Decent, new joinees will always be underpaid though learning to negotiate will always help in this case A lot of other strategic issues - Sales & Business Development hardly works to generate new businesses Massive attrition rate - the reason for which is the frustration of the employees and not that employees are always disloyal Manager bias - Happens the moment someone misreports an analyst's wrongdoings

    Negative Outlook

I worked at ValueNotes full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Career starter in research and advisory without an MBA

    Cons

Crappy pay - you'll barely survive. it is good as you won't have any time for recreation anyway HR - worse than government employees. They will never ever do their job promptly and if you ask them to do something that is part of their job description, they will do it as a favour to you and tell you not to bother them so much Vampirish project managers - they will ask you to work on weekends without hesitation cause they have made unrealistic commitments to clients - meanwhile they'll sit and sip copious amounts of coffee and judge you on how slow you are, also will complain about having to work weekends, right there in front of you! Wouldv'e given 0 stars if it were possible.

I worked at ValueNotes full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Can be helpful if you want to learn google searching techniques! A very good company if you are okay to work 9-10 hours a day for 19k/month.

    Cons

    1. Zero work life balance. 2. No perks 3. The work is monotonous and not productive. They'll expect you to uniquely present google results. 4. The so-called 'free lunch' is not free. It's deducted from the monthly payout. Not worth it! 5. The higher management is unprofessional to the root, they've created an environment which you'd expect as a daily wage labor. 6. They are noobs in the market, I'd recommend you to please stay away from this company at any point of time in your career.
