I worked at Virgin America full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

In the airline world Virgin America is a relatively small company, but that is what made it so great. Real team collaboration and everyone working for the same goal - make flying great again!

    Cons

Unfortunately with Alaska Airlines acquiring the company a lot of the early spirit is gone.

I worked at Virgin America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Depending on your lifestyle, the travel benefits and the hotel discounts are amazing. If you're single, love to travel by yourself and bounce around from city to city on the weekends ... working at Virgin America can be a dream job.

    Cons

Zero work life balance. They don't believe in promoting internals employees. I've seen amazing people get overlooked for higher positions, and someone new brought in. Good luck on ever getting a significant raise, and they expect you to work 24/7 for very little pay.

    Advice to Management

Promote your important players. Give people raises. Make people feel like you appreciate their hard work, because even the slackers at Virgin America are working hard.

I worked at Virgin America full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Extremely dynamic (double-edged sword). Virgin America is looked upon favorably in Bay Area. With Virgin on your resume, many doors will be opened for you when it's time to find your next career challenge. Excellent flying perks.

    Cons

Little opportunity for internal growth. Pay.

    Advice to Management

Keep the Virgin culture alive. Stay a step ahead of the legacies.
