I worked at Virgin Holidays Limited full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good commission earnings if you hit your targets. Cheap holidays and educationals. Great uniform and Virgin branded perks.

    Cons

Unless you’re in a clique or super friendly with management, don’t expect your concerns and issued to be rectified. Also if you mentioned something in confidence, especially to a superior, don’t expect it to be kept a secret. Was definitely one rule for one and one rule for another. Patterns occurred with the same people such as ‘winning’ multiple competitions and prizes during peak periods and head office got a lot more perks than customer facing retail staff. Majority of targets were unreasonable, part timers could end up earning more commission than a full timer as their targets were so low. They could book 2 holidays and earn full predictive commission and even double it and work 1 day a week compared to a full timer working 5 days a week and booking 10x the amount but struggle to reach 80% of their predicted. Which meant hardly any commission. No where to progress especially if you’re in retail. Having to work New Year’s Day!!! The coronavirus pandemic showed the full true colours of senior management with the way we was ALL treated. Hardly any communication from management and was told we was going to lose our holiday pay which was against the law during the furlough period. After all staff disagreed we was basically told to like it or lump it.
