I worked at Vistakon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

flexible enough with the working hours. most of the coworkers are nice.

    Cons

poor wage. would only be minimum wage without the 33% shift premium. people who are not good at their job tend to get promotions to move them on which leads to very poor morale among staff. who are working very hard and get no recognition.

    Advice to Management

wage increase and give promotions to people who deserve them

    Pros

If you are out of work and need a job with average salary to survive for 2 years max untill you find the right job that fits you.

    Cons

No respect to contractors you might as well be spat on, very hot and noisey environment, no one takes notice of hard work, very repetitive, night shifts are brutal, all you are is just a number to them, you might as well be a robot out there..

    Advice to Management

Find and look after the hard workers because they don't come around often out there!

    I worked at Vistakon full-time

    Pros

Shift work. Spend half your life awake all night, every second weekend working 12.5 shift. It's amazing

    Cons

Production targets are the be all and end all. Nothing else matters. Poor conditions and no possibility to improve. Salary increases are minimal

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees with respect

    Pros

Have to stand on your own from day 1 which is a good thing to learn. Highly automated. Good benefits

    Cons

Very political . 80% of workers playing politics, 20% doing all the work. Information systems poorly integrated which significantly undermines efficiency

    Advice to Management

Focus on performance rather than activity

  6. "Poor, no regard paid to operations staff, favouritism over performance rampant."

I have been working at Vistakon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Defined benefit pension scheme, share scheme, JnJ product shop, excellent safety culture in place, continuous expansion.

    Cons

No leadership from management, terrible holiday arrangements, scapegoating culture, constant drive for more productivity

    Advice to Management

Realise that management is not just dealing with the biggest issue at the moment, it's dealing with smaller ones too.
