Pros

Sandler Selling System Great group of people

Cons

Only one sales person makes 150k/year - I'm sure that glowing post was from one of the co founders. Aside from the one sales person that does well everyone else makes around 70k. There are 2 founders...one is just plain mean & degrading and the other has a nasty habit of lying. If you want to work with great people and have a whole lot of pressure put on you, but want to be hindered by the lack of support and funding from management - this is the place for you!

We challenge each sales person to perform based on activity compared to other sales people such as number of calls and time on the phone. If everyone on the team is averaging 60 calls a day and you are only making 20, then the pressure is there based on the performance of the current sales team, not management.

Pros

It was better than unemployment.

Cons

The megalomaniac founder/owner and co-owner (the founder/owner's sycophant) have no clue how to manage people. I challenge anyone to find a current or former sales rep for this company who's had a positive experience. They lie, they browbeat, they belittle. The pay is low, the hours are long and there is no recognition. Absolutely no respect for work/life balance. The owner is a car collector and has at least 10 cars, one of which is a Lamborghini. I guess that leaves him no money for office infrastructure since he only provides folding chairs and card tables for his employees. They also won't allow any drawers since they are constantly afraid of everything. They read every incoming and outgoing email from every employee. Because of the nature of their business and software, they are 100% paranoid 100% of the the time. This does not lead to a positive work environment. They are slow to release updates and new products, primarily because the owner will not outsource ANY development. That's right, the owner does 95+ percent of the development and coding himself. Visual Click is still primarily a Novell solutions developer. Novell stopped being relevant more than 10 years ago. I have been in sales more than 20 years and have NEVER encountered a more poisonous work environment. I pity the poor souls unfortunate enough to accept a Visual Click job offer.

We have several sales persons who have been with us for many years. Regarding work/life balance, we only require 40 hours a week, nothing more is required. As for car collector status, those are from a time prior to the formation of Visual Click, and have no impact on anything related to employees. Every employee has their choice of chair, most use Herman Miller Aeron chairs, we have never had a folding chair option for any employee at any time ever. If any employee wants a file cabinet with drawers they are welcome to have one, we have never had any restrictions regarding drawers. As for tables we do prefer the convenience and space saving design of basic tables that can be rearranged more easily than heavy wooden furniture. However, when employees have requested another type of table we have provided. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we do our best to ensure that always happens. The management and employees of Visual Click exist for the benefit of our customers and we do require team work to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. We do outsource some development, but that is not always shared with the employees, but it does occur. Visual Click stopped being primarily a Novell solutions developer in 2006. We have many employees with multiple years of employment.

Pros

40hrs a week no more no less. Good Health insurance for single person.

Cons

No marketing the past 6 to 8 years. No calling platform to call and locate potential clients ie: Zoominfo. No stable accounts to work from. No solid direction from managers as you will have to train yourself mostly. Call lists were 2 years old. Do not provide company equipment. Unfair HR practices.
