I worked at Vreasy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - lovely people, everybody is always willing to help and give advice. Even when I was leaving people were offering to help me find a new job - a testament to the quality of people working there - lots of opportunity for responsibility. I always felt I was listened to in meetings, even though I was very junior - you're really encouraged to run with your ideas, so you feel like you can make a significant... difference - perks e.g. BBQs on CEO's boat, cava on birthdays - office is in a great location near to the beach - there's an office garden to work in if you want to get away from your desk - overall a really great company that I miss very much!

    Cons

    - the only one I can really think of is that the small size of the company can mean your job requirements are quite broad, but for me that was a pro so very subjective really

    Advice to Management

I suppose stricter goal setting would help drive growth further, as things sometimes felt a bit aimless, but this was already being aggressively addressed just before I left

    I worked at Vreasy full-time

    Pros

I worked from home and the autonomy and flexibility were great. Given the size of the company, I was able to learn a LOT in so many different areas (sales, customer support, service development etc) I really enjoyed occasionally going to Barcelona and meet the rest of the team; the office is next to the beach and the atmosphere in the office is very friendly and laid back, but there are also lots of capable... and skilled individuals

    I worked at Vreasy full-time

    Pros

    - Fun, international, diverse team - Great startup environment with ample opportunity to learn and develop yourself professionally - The CEO has a proven track record and is easy to work with - Can't beat working by the beach - Fun activities organized outside of work

    Cons

    - If you're not self-motivated, you'll find the freedom and startup environment overwhelming - Not for someone who wants a typical "9 to 5 office job"

    Advice to Management

The flexibility provided and autonomy given to employees was great and allowed me to explore my interests and find where I could best put my skills to use and help the team.

I worked at Vreasy for less than a year

    Pros

Startup environment with great people! Open office space located on the Beach. Company plays soccer every Monday night. BBQs on Martins Sailboat Free rides on Martins sea plane. Great learning experience. Opportunity to wear multiple hats and work on different projects.

    Cons

Sometimes there's a guy singing outside the office which can get pretty annoying. Also, the office got pretty dark in the afternoon and needed more lightbulbs. I'm sure they fixed that issue by now.

    Advice to Management

Management was great and was always willing to help whenever I asked for it. They were also open to hearing ideas from everyone. My internship at Vreasy was very inspiring and motivating.

I worked at Vreasy for more than a year

    Pros

    - Lots of very talented coworkers and great chance to learn from a very skilled team. - Employees are dedicated and always aware of new methods and software development and they have the experience to evaluate the best technology for the company. - Close to the beach and a nice area in general to work in. - Work hard and play hard. Employees know when to blow off steam and how to do it best. - This... place is great to work in if you know what you are doing or if you are willing to learn from the talented people around you and put in the hours needed.

    Cons

    - At times it was difficult to pinpoint who had most recent and specific knowledge for particular areas in the system. - Priorities could change within a short period of time. Employees must be ready for changes often.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep the talent happy. The people working for the company is the key for success.

I worked at Vreasy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

During my time at Vreasy, I was delighted to work in such a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic environment. I was given genuine responsibility and allowed to take ownership of projects while receiving appropriate support and guidance. I was sorry and indeed surprised to read some negative reviews on this site - I can only surmise that those wishing to be spoon fed or have a predictable working life would be... dissatisfied. I would thoroughly recommend Vreasy to anyone seeking the opportunity to learn fast, acquire new skills, and have a lot of fun all the while.

    Cons

The pay is a little lower than that which I would expect elsewhere, but I would personally rather take a slightly lower salary in exchange for the thrill of an inspiring and challenging working week. I was also very disappointed that I had to leave Vreasy at very short notice due to a road accident. I would have loved to stay longer! In passing, the response from everyone at the company to this accident was... completely overwhelming - the outpouring of kindness and support is truly a testament to this outstanding workplace.

    Advice to Management

The management have only to continue what they are doing - hire good people, let them take charge of their own tasks, listen to their ideas, and nurture their skills. The rest will follow!
