    Pros

Good coworkers Good customers Good location in city centre Sadly that's it.

    Cons

Management team have no idea what they are doing. Company is a sinking ship with all the talented staff leaving due to abusive working conditions. You will notice a trend that for every negative staff review the MD will create a new email account to post a "great" review filled with his buzz words.

    Pros

The only pro's I could think of would be that it's handy to get to in the City Centre and you can distract yourself from the hell inside Webanywhere by going to the shops at lunch time. Oh and your work colleagues who are suffering alongside you are invaluable as support

    Cons

Almost too many cons to mention: The MD is impossible to work with. He is rude, obnoxious, a bully, seems to be incapable of properly planning anything, seems to think no one should have kind of work/life balance, has no respect for his staff and quite frankly I can't work out if he is insane or just the vilest human I've ever met. Your health and well being will suffer greatly if you take a job here. So much so that I really feel that the Health & Safety Executive need to intervene. I can only assume that because people only tend to be able to stick it for 3 months or so at the most, they manage to avoid having a nervous breakdown. You are told there are fantastic career opportunities for those that work hard. This means basically that you have to literally work 24/7, jump when ever the MD says so and never have a life outside work. And then if you're lucky, you may be given even more work to do for no extra pay! All I can say to anyone considering working her. Think long and hard and only take it if you're desperate and always have an escape route because you're going to need it

All staff at our company are aware of the cyber bullying going on here. Spiteful posts like this are trying to damage our reputation and relationships. Bullying online is not acceptable. We know who wrote this post and this has been whistle blown by a number of our staff. We need to stand up against bullying like this - just as we stood up to the school bully.

    Pros

You'll come home with an endless supply of stories about new campaigns, products and conversations that people will assume are completely fictional. Colleagues enjoy a siege mentality/ gallows humour which brings you closer together. City centre location is good for shopping/food on a lunch break or after work. CEO gives out pay rises often to those who want to leave. It's a nice plaster on a gaping wound.

    Cons

Right... where to start? Mainly the CEO. It's difficult to tell if his incompetence spreads through management or if they're trying badly to filter it out. His undoubted early success was unfortunately too early in his career, so he doesn't know what to do with 'his' company. It is very much his company which you will be reminded of daily. Demanding work outside of hours, demanding you advertise his latest idea via personal social media accounts (at which point the actual phrase "I pay your wages" was used), and generally fitting you into the latest fad he's read about (until he reads about a new one next week). The noun 'minions' has also been used without any humour intended to describe his staff. Think you're doing well at work here? Not unless you've made no less than a specific number of phone calls daily, and the number changes every few weeks. CEO is obsessed with quantifying all work done so nothing of real value can be achieved. You will never be trusted or treated like an adult. Mismanagement has three times now led to redundancies, where support and training staff were let go in order to try fuel more sales staff. This was widely regarded by all as short sighted and showing a clear lack of respect and care for not just staff, but customers. Those customers are now realising and it's showing in churn.

People who do not live our values don't last long in our companies. Cyber bullying is unacceptable. We know who published this post - it is sad to see and falls way below our high standards.

    "Where to even begin?"

    2.0

I worked at Webanywhere full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good people Products are usually (eventually) pretty decent at the frontend "Fun Fridays" while a bit cringey, were appreciated and did help a bit CEO does seem willing to (sometimes) take chances on new hires

    Cons

CEO with a mindset that his 130+ employee company is still a small, lean startup - it isn't No or limited HR processes to speak of Products rushed to market without testing Oh god the micromanagement - team leaders don't even get budgets Absolute, total lack of vision and short-term thinking Too many products - stick to School Jotter, it's actually not bad Office space is tiny - yes it's Leeds City Centre but there's only one meeting room. Under-resourcing of all departments Constant pleas from CEO to work for free - articulated as "stretching beyond" and "going the extra mile" - all it means is "work for free". Paranoid - stories of employees being fired for adding recruiters on LinkedIn, employees having HR called over updated CVs on LinkedIn, workplace bullying (almost entirely by the CEO, who's just that - a bully). This website is blocked because the negative (ie, real) reviews were causing too much dissent. It's the only blocked website! Literally, you can browse anything but Glassdoor! Internal systems just don't work - CRM is a godawful mess that doesn't work and isn't even being fixed due to short-term planning. Customer contact information is a mess, communication is non-existent. Ludicrous targets based on some random pie-in-the-sky numbers

    Pros

I guess I appreciate the fact that working there allowed me to get into Web Design They had some good people working there - it was the only real reason anyone stuck around

    Cons

The MD likes to show off. Hence the fake reviews boasting of Leeds City Centre premises! And? They portray themselves as a web design agency but there is nothing creative about the company. Designs for websites should be done in minutes according to the MD. You are forced to call customers repeatedly to the point of annoying them just to meet call targets. They literally will try and make you work for free None of their advertised salaries are true

    Pros

Nice office, good views city centre location People are all really nice You can get good experience in the right role

    Cons

Extensive micro management such as call monitoring, you have to fill in logs of everything you do each day, MD makes all decisions and decides who does what and when No effective leadership. Managers too scared to make decisions, so nothing gets done. CRM terrible. No flexibility (values don't seem to apply to the business - limited flexitime, no home working). Negligible staff benefits.
