Pros

1. Remote work. . .

Cons

1. No future - the founder just created a mediocre b2b app and he's just getting the app to a point he can sell it to a bigger fish - see history of selling companies 2. Hostile work env - the founder and his wife create a good cop bad cop game to get the most out of people till they burn out 3. Attrition - due to the above at least one person left or was fired every month (out of a total of 20 people) 4. Salary - hire people from third world countries so you can pay them pennies 5. Chaos and lack of direction - their product or future roadmap is just give me a product comparable to google at a speed OpenAI ships while you get paid like TCS. This causes unrealistic expectations with no north star and changing priorities every week. 6. Incompetence - founder and C-suite are clueless about AI, what it can do or its current state. He'll listen to an ai founder interview talking about AI replacing employees in a year and start downsizing. The CTO is just as incompetent and too spineless to push back

Pros

Meaningful Work: Wellness Coach is truly helping people improve their health and wellbeing through coaching is fulfilling on a daily basis. Ownership & Autonomy: You’re trusted with high-impact projects and given the freedom to explore new ideas. It’s a place where proactive individuals thrive. Team Culture: I’ve had the chance to work with some incredible, passionate teammates across departments. There’s a strong sense of collaboration and creativity. Coaching Talent: The platform attracts some of the best coaches across wellness, mental health, and leadership, which really elevates the user experience. Innovation: The pace of new features and programs is fast, and there's excitement in always improving the product and testing ideas.

Cons

The pace can be intense, and things sometimes move faster than process can keep up with. Like many growing startups, there are still evolving areas in communication, structure, and clarity across departments

Pros

Lots of enthusiasm when you're first on-boarded...the honeymoon stage is STRONG! It was also nice to be given flexibility to bring in new ideas as well, which was refreshing. These benefits/vibes faded within about ~4 months, and the environment quickly took a 180 degree turn for the worse. This seems to be consistent with other reviewers here.

Cons

I was at first very excited about working here with the mission that was initially promised, etc, The employees were great as mentioned above, but leadership was the issue here I believe. Yes, you do have team meditations, outings, etc, but those are sandwiched in-between a demanding and toxic work culture. I was shocked at how different the proposed company values and actual practices of those values played out. All for-profit organizations are in business to make profit (duh!), however there needs to be a strong reasoning WHY behind one decides to start a for-profit business (or any business really!). If you're just doing it because you think "health and wellness" is a cool trend that you can financially benefit from, I believe that you end up with the result here at Wellness Coach. It's too bad because the mission up-front sounds great, but then you quickly realize that the real motives from senior leadership likely aren't aligned with the actual mission. The consistent employee turnover is evidence that the culture here is severely lacking. It's challenging to be successful building the culture of other businesses if you haven't put in the right effort and built a solid foundation for your own. Even though we always had team meetings/"All-hands"...I never found the vibe of those meetings to be warm and inviting...everyone seemed a bit quiet, reserved, etc...and that was even after the "ice-breaker" meditation!...I think this has a lot to do with how the company was lead. Most of what I read in that regard throughout these reviews seems to be an accurate depiction of what I also experienced.
