I have been working at Westpac Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good people and good work/life balance

    Cons

Too many layers of management. Management done by committee and many senior staff are paralyzed by a fear of failure.

Salary lower than market. No transparent salary ranges published for job roles at different levels. Lack of career progression for people not located in Sydney. WIB still a very traditional male-dominated business.

I worked at Westpac Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fantastic leadership by Gail Kelly. Culture, diversity and employee engagement is important to this company. Theres many opportunities to move within the company.

    Cons

None really, but I guess it depends what team/division you work for which will depend on compensaton, promotions etc. As much as you don't want, theres politics in every employer.
