Pros

- Some amazing people - A lot of hard workers (that are misguided by leadership/management) - Snacks & lunch when in the office - Good health insurance plan - Ability to have a close relationship with leadership - Possible to learn a lot in a short amount of time, simply because tons of people wear tons of hats - Accrue sick time - Good holiday vacation time - Dogs allowed in the main office Overall, on paper - it seems like Wondros is great. However, in practice, they have a ton of work to do. There are a ton of great people there, but they have a long way to go. Refer to cons for that.

Cons

- Most people leading the accounts don't really know what they're doing. As a result, there is high turnover with accounts that are unhappy - Manipulative leadership and management - Most tenured people there have only really worked there. The others that have stayed there longer are now drinking the kool aid; do not know what they're doing, and as a result, all good people that know their worth and skills eventually leave. - Culture that fosters the idea that all managers should hold down their team's success, in order to make themselves look good - Do not care about your personal growth - Lack of communication manager level and above - Does not actually really care much about social justice, just cares about money - like any other company - Culture of distrust; leadership (top down) rule by deceit or power - Disrespectful management and leadership that, again, only cares about looking good to CEO or other leadership - All of management/leadership talks about each other behind their backs, which make teams feel insecure - True distrust of HR; nothing is confidential and HR is commonly discussed throughout the company as a joke Wondros has so much potential, but time and time again, they let you down. I would recommend that you do not waste your time here, unless you will be on the NIH account or the Commercial Division (which are both such a different experiences than Global).

Pros

free lunches x 3 days/wk....free snacks (good ones like organic stuff, nuts, dried fruits, beer) mission driven - projects based on human rights, healthcare, medical research...not many agencies focused on making a social impact... made some cool friends

Cons

type of agency that hires as they get new projects. beware... zero zero zero transparency from leadership extreme nepotism from leadership - you're either grandfathered in or battling for their attention. i've witnessed managers/employees throwing their own colleagues under the bus...shame. shame. horrible vaca days - only 2 weeks - and they literally count every hour - almost like HR has nothing to do but spy on your hours. which brings me to HR... HR is not really HR - they have to outsource to another agency for help.... run more like a mom and pop shop - but has random strict policies - lack of consistency causes confusion

Pros

If you know how to play the ingroup/outgroup game you can earn preferential treatment, gain unlimited 'work from home' negligence, generally provide no value, and put all your responsibilities on lower level staff. Executives practice this behavior and if you can hob-nob with them, you can do the same. If you are looking to scheme a salary out of something like that, you can do that here.

Cons

- Remnants of Weinstein-era startup vibe where high pressure is put on emerging media makers to make a product they can mark up. A lot of "Do this for the opportunity to work with (blank)," and "You'll never work in this town again" egos that belong nowhere in a place that spins testimonials for Pfizer. - Too political. If you do not agree with their worldviews, you will be slowly sidelined and let go. - Too personal. If you treat work as work and aren't personally available 24/7 they will sour on you. Executives kind of pry into your personal life in the name of "culture." - Low-quality. I learned a lot about how to repackage existing work to resell to clients, delivering the minimum asked for, and kicking deliverables and costs to new budgets while collecting on the old. This is exhausting if you are someone who likes overachieving or generally care about your product.
