The people are great until you reach middle management level.

The culture at Worldpay has changed significantly since FIS took over. The business doesn’t care for its employees anymore and has recently announced a contract amendment that has reduced staff pay. Staff in the UK have also had to buy their own equipment to work from home during COVID whilst staff in the US got all their equipment paid for. It is very much big business now, less like an innovative FinTech and more like an old school bank.

The culture has taken a slide since the Vantiv/FIS takeovers

Great people, relaxed environment. No micromanagement, at least in departments I have worked. Great benefits. Adequate pay rise and performance bonuses. Helps employees to progress with their career development (with right manager). Gives students placements and employs many of them after.

Cons

Management can be very good and care big time about their staff or it could just leave you on your own with no support. Depending on the deparmet manager. Employment process is a bit worrying, as oftentimes people will be accepted internally without much background check on the subject or/and relevant skills for the position. Gets constantly acquired by other companies.
