GASLIGHTING You will be pushed out if you don’t fit in. Those who do want to help you will pull you outside the building anonymously fearing being seen with you. If you think it’s a dream job, it’s because you don’t know what’s going on inside. When you look up the company, it’s hard to find information, that’s on purpose. And not just for the projects (that’s typically an excuse as to why they are secretive)but for how people are doing and how they are treated. The mystery attracts people, the truth will be the reason their turnover continues. Managers are protected even if they’re *known* to be terrible. Googlers avoid going there and you should too. If you sign that offer, also hire a therapist.

Management is filled with gaslighters. They will openly lie to you about culture, respect, and even their own success. Every project fails, and even the ones that “graduate” collapse within a few years. If you expect to have real impact here, you’ll be greatly disappointed. They also NEVER tell you your cut of the “company” you’re trying to build until the very end. If you do end up succeeding, they’ll eventually just cut you out and replace you and you’ll have no equity (beyond google stock) to show for it.
