I would list it down:
1. No further career growth at all. All the tools + things you learn in this company can't be used in any other company. So you would be having very less amount of oppurtunity to go out.
2. Very less amount of salary hike. Less than 5%.
3. HR + managers have always been involved in dirty politics. so better don't involve in this company.
4. Transparency in company policy is not present. CEO doesn't interact with the engineers directly. everytime the managers would be present during the CEO meeting and it would always be a one-sided discussion.
5. This is not a product company. This is a service oriented company serving for computer network product vendors. The services offered range from bug fixing in their code till testing. The development work is like 10% only.
6. employees are treated like cattles many times. Managers + Directors doesn't think about calling the employees at night 2AM or on weekends. They would simply call you repeatedly for un-important things just to present the work earlier and get a good name from their supervisor.
7. All kinds of micro-management is being done here. When i joined here, all the freshers were not asked to create a LinkedIn account and also to deactivate our facebook accounts. This was done to prevent the Customers(clients) to know our real experience(which is NIL). We were monitored for this for some 6 to 7months and during that period, if any one's account is found, the manager will call us and start embarassing us.
8. The amount of distribution of emeployees is 100 in India and 30 in US. Out of the 100 in India, more than 90 are less than 5 years experience. more than 25 are less than 1 year experience. Highly paid employees are sent away by the management itself so that the money can be saved.
9. Management doesn't care about the training of the employees. During my first week itself, I was pulled into a live project. I honestly didnt have that much knowledge. A trained person could have done the same work in a week or little more than that. I did the same work in 2 months. The management doesn't try to understand this and it wants to reap out the harvest immediately instead of investing in the employees.
10. The work environment is not suitable for employees with family. Even though the office timing is from 9 to 6:30, you would have to stay and attend the call at 11:00PM. This is happens daily for more than 1 year. Maybe that is the reason why many employees after their marriage are not being retained here.
11. The infrastructure here is poor. lots of days the restrooms would not have water or would have water filled all over the restroom. This happens like 5 times a month. Even after several complaints the management hasnt taken any care about it. During the customer visit or the CEO visit, the restrooms would look like a high class hotel room all bright and shine. Thats how embedUR works. No permanent solution instead only immediate solutions which would not be sustained for longer. Any company would be having their own set of equipment. But here all those equipements which came for the purpose of testing given by the clients are being used for our own infrastructure.
12. Net connection is 4Mbps when all the employees are present. If minimal no of employees are present, the internet speed is around 12Mbps. You would have to face 5 to 6 times internet getting disconnected each day per week. Dont mail the network admins. They think they run the show and will mail back scolding us for mailing keeping the managers in CC.
13. Health insurance policy given by the management is the worst which is not of use to anyone. Dont fall for this.
14. On-site oppurtunites are very less. since the client mandated that there should be 2 employees in their timezone, they sent those 2 employees in the cheapest flight as much as possible even though the client paid for the airfare. Also once you reach the US, the next day itself you would be expected to work. No settling time or anything would be given at all.
If you want to work in a company which offers you to learn something technically, please take that offer. This company is like a dead-end with no improvement to your technical knowledge. Maybe you will learn about office politics if you join here.
