Pros

The people are what make it tolerable. I’ve made some close friends here and we all work hard.

Cons

The CEO means well but is still learning how to run a company and there are growing pains. He is known for involving himself in low priority minutia. It doesn’t come across as though there is much thought into the future of the company. He has a reputation for being very temperamental to employees and clients. Clients have reported having arguments with him and several employees have at least one experience of him sending long winded messages or videos of criticism. The office is now remote which was an unplanned change but has added issues with communication and culture. There are a lot of activities being forced by upper management and it’s noticeable. Multiple employees are being over worked and nothing seems to happen when this is escalated.

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback about your experience at Noticed. As the CEO, knowing our strengths and weaknesses is crucial. The role is an important responsibility that requires consistent self-awareness, vulnerability, and an evolving mindset. I value honest feedback, and I take it with open arms as we're all learning regardless of the job title. We recently implemented new company values guided by all employees' feedback, and we defined a new future vision for the business. The Covid Pandemic affected many businesses, with many adapting to a new way of working. When the Covid lockdown happened, we didn’t furlough a single employee and provided financial support to employees' families that had been furloughed. We experienced the challenges of managing a remote company for the first time and the cultural changes that come with it. All the learnings and feedback we've experienced in the last two years have let us hire a seasoned leadership to support our team members' growth and development. This year, we have seen a significant improvement in the culture, employee retention, and overall happiness while operating as a remote business. We're now focusing on rolling out a management training program to help our managers grow to be the best leaders possible. The eCommerce industry experienced a major surge in demand in 2020/21. Unfortunately, this led to operational challenges that affected our ability to manage workload capacity. Since then, we have implemented a capacity management system to improve the decision-making for new hires to prevent team burnout, which has improved employee morale and happiness. Thank you for helping us improve. We wish you all the best for the future. Thank you again!

Pros

At Noticed, there are a good number of people that really want to do the best work possible for their clients. A lot of people will jump in and work together when a goal is outlined.

Cons

Where to start... The CEO cannot get out of his own way. He is involved in every single aspect of the business even though he invested in a senior leadership team to run and support the business. When an issue came up, he would bulldoze his way in and cause chaos. He was infamous for telling his team he has done their job before and knows the right way to do it even though he has less experience in the industry than a lot of the people within his company. In my time with Noticed, I saw an alarming amount of turnover throughout the company and within the senior leadership team. This resulted in employees having to take on the additional workload even though most were already burned out. Clients were always impacted by this because the team members on their accounts was always changing. There was also a severe lack of process throughout the company during my time there. If you asked one person how to do something and asked another person the same question, you would get vastly different answers. Basic functions within a dev department were also not in place. Perfect example would be not having a proper QA department (there actually was no QA role within the company at all) in place to ensure the dev work was done properly. Pretty scary given this company builds and maintains websites for clients.

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience while working at Noticed. As a growing company, we strive to attract the best talent in the market that aligns with our company culture and values. Building a team is equivalent to creating a football team; it's a science that is difficult to master. The team you create can significantly reshape the company culture positively and negatively. Unfortunately, we have made mistakes along the way that have affected the culture, but we're better for it today and have learned from those decisions. As the business founder, I deeply care about my team and clients' success; it's a crucial part of who we are and the type of culture we strive to create. I'm growing as a CEO with the company as it's growing, it's a part of the process that we need to go through to learn. We recently hired a VP of Operations that has transformed the business's day-to-day operations and the departmental reporting structure, which has allowed the CEO to focus ''on'' versus ''in'' the business. Furthermore, this has improved the communication flow between management and leadership, which has led to the business flowing more fluidly across the board. Today, we have assembled a phenomenal leadership team that has dramatically improved the company culture and business operations that have positioned us to execute our business vision. We're continuing to learn and grow from our experiences as an organization, and we value all feedback from current or former employees. The Covid Pandemic affected many businesses, with many adapting to a new way of working. We experienced the challenges of managing a remote company for the first time and the cultural changes that come with it. All the learnings and feedback we've experienced in the last two years have allowed us to hire a seasoned leadership to support our team members' growth and development. This year, we have seen a significant improvement in the culture, employee retention, and overall happiness while operating as a remote business. We're now focusing on rolling out a management training program to help our managers grow to be the best leaders possible. We're always open to feedback; it allows us to evolve and improve when we may not realize we're failing. Thank you again for the transparency; it's always welcome! We wish you all the best for the future.

Pros

There is a really strong sense of community at Noticed. Everyone is friendly, talented, and truly cares about the growth of their coworkers and the company as a whole. Good work is rewarded with bonuses and biannual raises, and there are tons of great perks and benefits to working at the company. The leadership team is receptive to feedback, and is always making strides that benefit the growth of the company. I really have never been apart of a more encouraging work environment and would absolutely recommend this work place to anyone who may be looking into a job with Noticed.

Cons

I really don't have anything negative to say about Noticed, they were extremely good to me as a full-time employee and the only reason I am not currently with them full-time has to do with family life.
