There are no pros to working here unless you enjoy being forced to work on your PTO
Cons
XBiotech asked its employees to write positive reviews about their company in order to conflate their ratings, so I feel it is necessary to give an honest review: The CEO uses fear tactics to try to motivate employees here. He is always on vacation and comes into the office maybe 10 times a year, yet still manages to micromanage everyone. He will fire people at random based off his mood and will fire anyone that disagrees with him. HR is awful. No HR experience and somehow HR also leads the finance department—a weird conflict of interest that shouldn’t be allowed in a public company. HR spends more time sleeping, gossiping, and blackmailing people than working. This company loves to hire people with no experience in clinical research and pay them more than existing hardworking employees. The wages here are well below the national average and they wont improve anytime soon. If you like receiving absolutely no training or guidance yet somehow still being micromanaged, XBiotech is the place for you.

Just Dont. Good pay but everything else is a headache

Pay is pretty good Jobs are very easy ( HUGE slack off culture so there is really no expectation for you to keep busy, a lot of times people will fill time by online shopping, leaving, gossiping, dancing etc, ) Tacos and or Cupcakes every other Wednesday Building is nice.
Cons
Where to start; just read the other reviews. The most toxic and immature work culture i've ever experienced. No professional leadership from CEO, thus leads to infighting and petty fights between department heads. No real HR, HR personnel have other positions in the company, thus HR is a ''secondary'' task. Extreme conflicts of interest in maintaining ''friends'' rather than jobs correctly. Like mentioned in other reviews extreme gossip culture, it is quickly clear of the social hierarchy, people stand about talking the lobby, walk around socializing with friends / planning parties or nights, engage in spreading pseudo malicious rumors of other team members ( inappropriate things like sexual harassment, how certain women got the job at the company, etc ), abusing PTO ( some people dont take PTO and just leave for days and hours , dancing in the lobby ( strange but a routine thing ) No functional trust between leadership team ( there are '' spies '' in other departments, people who only report # listen to different personnel and not direct department managers. Departments in the front of the building are a mess. Top level management is aware of situations, ie sexual harassment allegations, bullying culture, etc, but when presented with evidence, seems to be too busy to do anything about and brushed things under the rig ( ie no HR reports on situations ). High turnover in clincial dept and new executire level talent seem to be bullied out quickly after joining. No remote work, regardless of COVID spikes in the county

- Great co-workers that are always willing to help - Postive attitudes - Company growth and advancement - Extremely organized When working with a company that has positive change and growth there is an opportunity to help define the future and the role you play in it. I'm excited to be a part of XBiotech
Cons
It's hard to write cons because I genuinely enjoy the company and all of the positives outshine any cons, but if I must choose one it would be not having the option to work remotely.

Ten years later...and this company is still a fraud
30 May 2021 - DirectorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There are no advantages to working here, unless your goal in life is to eclipse Theranos in scientific malfeasance, unethical behavior, and moral corruption — then this is the place for you. XBiotech epitomizes all the worst of biotech and absolutely none of its periodic brilliance.
Cons
I still can’t believe the SEC nor the FDA haven’t yet shut this place down. The biomedical analogue of Trumpian politics: A toxic CEO who is bereft of decency, cannot bring himself to trust anyone, and refuses to play by the rules, whose monomaniacal greed and inflated ego can’t hide the fact that this sham company still has no product. MABp1/ Xilonix is as close as it will ever approach success.
