The IT job market is down for almost 1.5 years now. Is there a chance it might regain its momentum in 2024? I know it will not go back to the 2021 boom again but hiring needs to step up a little more at least. Nowadays, I heardly see any opening from the Product Based Companies like Shell, MBRDI, HPE,Dell, Oracle etc. Even the hiring for the service based Companies has also reduced a lot. Guys, I am currently having 11yrs experience. Early 30s. Bangalore. How long does IT career last in India? 20-25yrs of exp, roughly till 45yrs age. I would like to know, what's the plan after 45yrs age? How to survive afterwards...will the earnings till 45yrs suffice to survive another 30yrs? Never. What's your plan?

Why it's tough to get a counteroffer nowadays... I got one offer for a Manager position but I am looking out for a better opportunity as I am not interested in joining that org and they pay way less than I expected... But when another org HR calls me, she straight away tells me that we cannot give the counteroffer as you have a better offer in hand but the person with my experience, skillset, and position is better paid... How to handle such situations and answer them... please guide...
