As a part of the Interview series by Innovation Roots which features global thought leaders, Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique, was interviewed recently. The talk was about leadership, entrepreneurship, and the startup ecosystem. Mr. Sood shared the challenges that he faces as the leader of an enterprise and talked about ways ensuring continuity of learning & development cycle of his team irrespective of factors unforeseen like the Covid-19 pandemic. He also shared an anecdote to impress upon the importance that ownership and responsibility hold for the leader of a startup and that of an enterprise, alike both.

Friday, the 1st of July not only marked beginning of the seventh month of the year, but also the initiation of professional journeys of Fresh engineering graduates at Hughes Systique. The excited lot in attendance at our Gurugram and Bengaluru offices, was in for a day filled with very carefully curated ice breaking and engagement activities. As much as we are glad to welcome the freshers, we also want to wish them the very best and most importantly thank them for trusting HSC on their first professional outing. Coming of freshers into the fold infuses newer creative thinking into TeamHSC. We hope that each one of them has an exciting & satisfying journey with HSC.

Mr Chitwan Arora, System Design Engineer, Hughes Systique, attended the 2nd edition of the OpenRAN India 2022 Hybrid Conference on 16th June 2022 at the Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi, as a panellist and was joined by distinguished members from the technology sector. The session was dedicated to the topic, “Open RAN Infrastructure & Future Business Model” and Mr Arora spoke about “Federated Learning in ORAN Architecture”. His talk was aimed at providing an overview of Federated learning and how it can be deployed in ORAN Architecture. Mr Arora further shared that, “Standard Deep learning approaches require centralized training data. However, while using AI Applications in wireless domain it will be practically impossible to send all the data to a centralized place. This, in turn, motivates the Federated learning frameworks that enables users to collaboratively learn a shared prediction model while keeping their collected data on devices itself.”
It was a time of connecting once again with colleagues, friends, mentors, making new friends and celebrating of reopening of office at Hughes Systique team in Bengaluru. The team also celebrated the wins of the winners of 'Back to Office' contests with a team outing with Mr Anurag Gupta, Center Head and AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique. The celebrations spanned over two days where in HSCians spent quality time with each other & bonded as a team over lots of engaging fun activities, and scrumptious meals. As we opened the doors of our Gurugram, Noida and Bengaluru office on June 1, we were delighted to see some new, some old but all the excited faces, making their way inside to meet their friends, colleagues, and mentors after such a long time. We laughed, shared food, sweets & experiences, and then laughed a bit more before settling in to do what we do best. The HSCians are back, and they are loving it!
