At IKEA, leadership practices are based on leadership principles and life philosophy of our founder Ingvar Kamprad.
Thank you to our facilitators for another dynamic IKEA Leadership Fundamentals (ILF) training session, which helps enable managers to lead our business through our people, by supporting them in their transition from “leading myself” to “leading others”
At IKEA, we celebrate IDAHOT to stand for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and people of all sexual orientations and gender identities (LGBT+)
Achieving greater diversity in the workplace is not just a compliance-related goal. At IKEA, we believe that being ourselves and contributing with our uniqueness makes us ALL grow.
Our talent acquisition team had another inspiring diversity and inclusion recruitment training session from Rafael A. Fantauzzi, Diversity & Inclusion Manager — one of many ways we ensure effective, fair and objective workplace diversity.

Meet Tanja: "I joined the IKEA family in Switzerland as a logistics and warehouse trainee. I never imagined that today, 18 years later, I would be leading all of IKEA U.S. Logistics; responsible for 50 retail stores, 8 warehouses, 9 customer distribution centers and 5 central parcel units across the country.
During my journey, I also worked in Sweden, Germany, Poland and even China. IKEA offered me the encouragement and tools to pursue my leadership role in logistics; often a non-traditional career path for women. It’s absolutely true that the career possibilities at IKEA are endless!

"I believe the key to being successful professionally and personally starts with stepping out of your comfort zone. Don't be afraid to ask questions or do the research about career moves that interest you.
When we master being comfortable in uncomfortable situations, we can develop in ways we didn’t know were possible. You are responsible for your own destiny, so don’t be afraid to take control!”

During Culture & Inclusion Week, our co-workers in #IKEA Costa Mesa are putting focus on making our values a living reality. When we live our values, each of us leads by example in everything we do, every day.
The IKEA culture will only become stronger if we nurture it. Our co-workers at IKEA Merriam are definitely embracing the fun and togetherness of Culture & Inclusion Week!
#CareerTipsTuesday "The best interview advice I can give our candidates is to be yourself because you are more than just a resume. I’m always interested in getting to know the “real” you. So relax, show enthusiasm and talk about your goals, successes and also your interests and passions.
Instead of over-preparing and delivering canned responses, think of the interview as a conversation—we’re both simply trying to get to know each other.
