At Terex, our purpose is to help improve the lives of people around the world. Recently, we had an opportunity to showcase how the equipment we manufacture can do just that. Three Terex brands—Powerscreen, Terex Washing Systems (TWS) and Terex Ecotec—exhibited together at a major Chinese Government-supported event on recycling standards in Beijing. The objective was to show that through our impressive portfolio, we are a global leader in providing recycling solutions and our team has the products, knowledge, and skills to support the Chinese government with its ambitious goals to tackle waste in China. Our teams rock. Sometimes, quite literally. In an effort to get the word out about updated safety requirements in the new Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) standards, our team member Scott Owyen, Genie’s Senior Training Manager, wrote and performed a song. Oh, and the rest of the actors in the music video are team members who volunteered to be a part of this project.
At Terex, our values do more than live on a poster on the wall. They are integral to who we are, and how we do business. Recently, one of our branch managers received a call from a woman looking to rebuild a hydraulic cylinder for her daughter’s wheelchair accessible van. The family made multiple prior calls elsewhere, and we offered to repair the cylinder for free. Now the family's van, nicknamed “Penny,” can take the girl to school!
