Yesterday, albellians participated in the Make-A-Wish Business Challenge. We worked together in teams to fulfill wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, and to not only give them an unforgettable day, but to also give them the strength and belief to get better. Last Wednesday, albelli played host to the 2nd UX meet-up of 2018, organised by the "Amsterdam UX" community. This time, the topic was "Innovation and boundaries: UX and the spaces in-between". Kevin Richardson, delivered a compelling speech about the responsibility of UX professionals to give users what they need, not just what they want. Here it is: the HP Indigo 50000. This state of the art machine lets us produce more and better photo products. It helps us improve our role as an industry leader as albelli keeps on growing. A great milestone for albelli as the first HP Indigo 50000 digital press in EMEA region is up and running in our production facility in The Hague.
Does your family sometimes ask you what you do at work? This question was answered for the families of our albelli employees on the Family day. A day full of funny activities and surprises was organised in our production site in The Hague, where our plant colleagues demonstrated how we produce our photo products!
Working together in a collaborative way and having fun is what albelli all about. Our Storefront team engaged in a 2-day hackathon where professionals from various disciplines investigated the different ways of scaling the albelli websites across the world. Last Friday we kicked of our agile champions training. During a 5 day training over a period of 2,5 months, a group of 12 colleagues will be trained to further support albelli in our agile transformation. We noticed a lot of energy and eagerness with our champions to apply the learnings and get their hands dirty. Thanks to our implementation partner Xebi for this first session, which promised a lot for the trainings to come.
