[ICF] Operations Associate

Mumbai

Reporting to: Recruitment Director / Regional Lead

The Operations Associate, Fellowship Recruitment will support the RLT (Recruitment Leadership Team) to effectively plan, project manage and execute various national-level projects and initiatives that contribute towards a combination of our short term and medium-term goals. The team is seeking a proven leader who possesses exceptional communication and project management skills, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative and proactive approach to working in teams and a deep personal belief in Teach For India’s vision and mission.

Responsibilities as Operations Associate, Fellowship Recruitment Team


  • Project plan and execute national-level initiatives/projects/events that ensure a strong candidate journey in alignment with our organisation's culture and vision of excellence.
  • Create and manage the Recruitment team's national data dashboard that is a one-stop for all our inputs, outputs, progress to goals and outcomes
  • Manage quarterly National team stepbacks and retreats, including co-ideation of the agenda, identifying and bringing in diverse speakers, managing event logistics
  • Create quarterly progress reports with guidance from the RLT. This would include analysis of relevant data, identification of root causes, voices of all the regions and portfolios, and presentation of the final report to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent planning and execution of National Team level spaces, including agenda, speaker preparation, following up on next steps
  • Take on a couple of short term projects/pilots that will directly impact the medium-term goals and orientation of the Fellowship Recruitment team's work and future
  • Build a team orientation that is tuned to the external talent market - conduct regular research, create reports and presentations, and update the team on the status of talent in and beyond the sector.
  • Build and maintain an internal knowledge management system that can be leveraged by the team for the years to come.
  • Proactively support the team during the deadline week by wearing multiple hats - step in for presentations, engage candidates through calls, manage events, etc.

Responsibilities of an Associate at Teach For India

  • Contributing to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities
  • Serving as an ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply
  • Supporting with key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

  • 1-3 years of professional experience
  • Experience of having planned and executed complex projects with multiple priorities in a college or work setting
  • Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups
  • Experiences of having taken initiative in the past
  • Previous experience in teaching/education would be an added advantage (not mandatory)
