As aData quality Engineer willcontribute to various phases and activities of the software development process or software testing. Candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team environment, the engineer works with tech Lead, software engineers, internal partners, and stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Governance Strategy, Implementation & Change Management:
  • Establish a strategic vision and implementation roadmap for the Data Governance Program, including key objectives, guiding principles, and performance goals aligned to the overall strategic vision.
  • Define, design, and deploy the Data Governance Program capabilities required to implement the data management strategy, including the organizational structure to support this new process as well as the policies, rules, and standards by which our company will manage data assets.
  • Collaborate with the IT Department to define the approach to data management and the necessary systems to support the Data Governance Program. Also includes strategic participation in the selection and implementation of data management applications, processes, and organizational changes.
  • Establish key data governance objectives and performance goals aligned to the Data Governance Program.
  • Promote and enable a culture change for the Data Governance Program to ensure organizational acceptance and on-going success.
  • Develop and maintain the communication plan(s) to promote the value of the Data Governance Program with key stakeholders, across business functions and where applicable, it’s external partners.
  • Evaluate and revise the Data Governance strategic roadmap based on changes to our strategic goals, desired capabilities, and emerging technologies
  • Data Governance Leadership & On-Going Management
  • Leadership of the Data Governance organization, including enabling the various supporting roles that operate within their relative data domain(s) and/or functional areas
  • Collaborate with business leaders and assess current and future business requirements as it relates to data governance, and implement the necessary solutions to ensure continued program success
  • Interact with key stakeholders and data owners across the organization to promote data accuracy and adherence of best-in-class data management practices
  • Modify the data governance program to incorporate any organizational, operational, and technological changes
  • Maintain a single, enterprise-level set of policies/data standards and maintains a repository of key elements around the in-scope data domains to ensure their proper use throughout the organization
  • Facilitate talent upgrades as required by creating talent and performance standards
  • Collaborate with the various project and/or initiative leaders to ensure data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated, and managed to ensure smooth transition upon implementation of these projects
  • Skills Required: Experience establishing, implementing, and leading a data governance capability and operational framework within a similar company and/or related industry
  • Experience defining and implementing data governance delivery strategies for complex, dynamic organizations
  • Experience shaping and maintaining a data governance team to support and address the evolving strategic and tactical challenges of the organization
  • Expert and proven knowledge of data governance and understanding of data governance and master data management (MDM) principles, concepts, and industry-leading practices
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Able to align various stakeholders to a common set of policies and standards
  • Ability to promote and illustrate the benefits of the data governance program
  • Foster lasting relationships across varying organizational levels and business segments
  • Ability to arbitrate on difficult decisions and drive consensus through a diplomatic approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make fact-based and timely decisions for program and company
  • Self-starter who welcomes responsibility and accountability
  • Matrix management skills and business acumen
  • Up to XX% travel required
