How do you spend your bonuses if its north of 10k?
Just got promoted from manager to senior manager in audit. Mid size firm (approx 25th largest), mid to high cost of living, 8 years of experience all at same firm. Was at $130k and got to $145k with promotion and general annual increase. This is a total of 11.5% which feels light. $145k feels a little light too. Am I wrong for this, or should I be getting a bit more? In a promotion year I was hoping for at least 15% bump
Did anyone leave Public Accounting after 12+ years? Why did you finally leave and are you happy you ultimately made that decision?
I can admit that I could be a bad person here. Because listening to my coworkers coughing their heads off, or belching, and not to mention their other bodily functions, I can feel myself becoming increasingly homicidal. Which genius thought open floor plans and shared workspaces were a good idea? I'm not usually anti-social but I would give anything for some walls or even a cubicle to dim some of the noise.
Those of you who have worked at EY, or another BIG4, do you think you'd ever want to work for them again? I feel like knowing if people would go back is a decent indicator if this is a job I would want.
Although my current firm allows jeans every day, my years with BDO makes me feel weird about wearing jeans to the office except on Friday. People who know, know BDO will give you neuroses 😋
Erryday.....idk....come to KPMG! Jeans ERRYDAY!
Depends on office weirdly enough. Our office is jeans every day
SA1 that is nuts!! Almost as nuts as Manager 1 although truth be told that is how EY started this before changing policy US-wide
If by jeans you mean business casual, then yes. People who know, know BDO doesn't wear jeans.
NYC is a suit
Our office allows jeans only on Friday
It depends on service line. Core tax is biz cas monday-thurs, jeans friday. STS/transaction tax is jeans every day
Baker Tilly jeans daily if you don’t have client meetings even in NYC. Hit me up for a referral.
