Is citi laying off employees? If yes, in which unit?
Pls help ( PIP ) My manager informed me that I am on a PIP and said that the notice period will start from the day I am placed on the PIP. The first 60 days are for improvement, and the last 30 days are considered the final evaluation period. If after the 90 days they find that I have not improved, should I consider those 90 days salary as my severance pay, or will the company provide an additional 3 months salary after the PIP ends? Also if I put down the papers in middle of PIP what happens?
Did anyone receive salary yet?
I heard a SVP was fired from bangalore due to POSH. Is this really true? Or was it due downsizing activity?
Could you please confirm whether the Karat interview is mandatory for vendor employees converting to full-time roles at Citi?
After working at Citi India for several years, I wanted to understand the general process followed in cases involving PIP (Performance Improvement Plan). If an employee is unable to clear a PIP: * Is notice period generally provided? * Are severance benefits typically applicable in India? * Does PIP itself count as notice period, or does notice start separately afterward? Would appreciate hearing general experiences or insights from others who may have seen similar situations.
It’s just noise, nothing official or public about it. But as per the talks, GFT, risk and compliance are impacted depts
It is not just a noise now!! From my team they have fired 2 AVPs(onshore) whose performance were average.
Yes, layoffs going on and All the dept impacted. We don’t have bigger counts at the moment. As per understanding from senior management, each project should put 10% - 4 star rating and whoever received your job as RISK in mid year reviews/comments they will leave soon.(be careful) Target is SEPTEMBER.
In mid year review there is no rating mentioned. So how are supposed to guess?
a C11 got fired from Services so don’t say it’s just noise…
Middle management layer is going away, since they need individual contributors at those levels and it’s not possible to retrain the existing once, they are being laid off and individual contributors are being hired at that level . And bcz if that many junior level individual contributors are being fired. That’s what happens in restructuring.
Will new joiners also be considered for recent layoffs?
1st mostly new joiners and under performing
New joiners will be at grave risk because they are not important enough than even a sluggish oldie, unless he's too expensive
My team 4 ppl gone already.. part of TTS
What are they expecting from officers? And how much cost they will save by firing them.Pathetic.
How long have these people been with Citi? How bad is the situation?
