Any insight on BearingPoint in Chicago/NYC? Good organization?

You know that feeling when someone tells you a singer is doing a new concert tour, and you think, “I thought they died years ago!” That’s BearingPoint.

Even I was wondering whether they really existed even now.

My first consulting job was with BearingPoint…formerly KPMG consulting. Unfortunately we went bankrupt in 2008/2009. Most of the US business was sold off to PWC and Deloitte. However the European partners bought the rights to the brand and operated in Europe with success. Now the firm is expanding into the US market.

First, BearingPoint is doing over $1B in annual revenue, so ignore the comments that the firm doesn't really exist. In the U.S., there are three main practices - an IFS implementation service; Enterprise Transformation (SAP); and Business Transformation (Advisory). In the U.S., each is in growth mode, but supported by a large global organization. NY is a fairly new office, Chicago is much larger and established, good culture.
