I’m 33 and starting to feel like I’m aging out of consulting. This is a young man’s game and I now have 3 kids and am tired. Time to plot my exit to industry 🙂.
Opportunity to take a job but can only stay a month and a half before my start date for another job - should I take it?
Anybody else have a harder time getting a job after leaving McKinsey than before you joined? Exited the firm over a year and a half ago and I have not been able to secure an offer ANYWHERE, despite having many interviews.
Accenture MDs. How are you coping with the stock tank? Down 50% in one year.
About to be a Senior 3 in people consulting at EY. Unsure when I’ll get to manager (EY seems to be not promoting as many rn). Offer from grant thorton offering me 20k more than I make now. Asking for a signing bonus as well. They’re building a new change management practice. Should I go?

EYP is the bright and successful sibling, while EY is the sibling who is a bit slow and doesn't amount to much
EYP is strategy. They pay well, on par with other strategy shops. But more than that, they are transparent with their pay structure. You would see EYP rated higher in the popularity contests . Many in EY want to move to EYP, without understanding what EYP does.
EYP is a T2 captive within EY. They focus on strategy, M&A, and related work. EY (business and tech consulting) is more focused on operations, technology design and implementation, and process improvement. EYP also pays a lot better.
EY is nothing like us, EYP is something like us.
