Bro...why am I in consulting? Saw an article Milbank and other law firms raised their entry level salaries for associates... Ranging from $235,000 for juniors to $455,000 for seniors.
Got an offer from Big 4 firm as SM in tech consulting. Have been at current job for over 12 years and now a director at mid tier firm. With base and bonus, total comp is pretty comparable. If I retire in 6 years, is it even worth starting from scratch at Big 4?
Those who are job searching (either while employed or unemployed) — what’s working and what’s not? I’ve been really trying to network on LinkedIn, get referrals when possible, and hunt down hiring managers and recruiters. But boy, it’s a tough game. And exhausting. What’s working for you?
Do y’all wait to notify your current job until the new job’s background check is completed and you receive your official start date? Or do you go ahead and notify them and give your two weeks when you sign a written offer letter?
Anyone left consulting to buy a business? I need advise on how you went about it.
