I interviewed at Fogo de Chão (Edinburgh, Scotland)
Interview
Too short and rushed. Seems like they rushed it all and weren't very interested in me at all. Very cold and odd. Place seemed empty for the interview that was good

Interview
Firstly recieved a phone call from the reception manager, who asked me basic CV related questions about experience, availability etc. They then invited me to attend a trial shift the following day.
I was partnered up with one of the receptionists and had to shaddow her for two hours. Everyone was very nice and friendly, however, I wasn't sure how they could base the hiring process on this, as it was mainly a tour of the restaurant and how things worked, followed by laying tables, greeting customers and showing them to their tables. None of this was difficult so I am unsure how the hiring decision was made, as all my feedback was positive.
I was disheartened not to hear back from Fazenda given the time, energy and professionalism I had invested in the trial shift. I was left to presume that someone with more relevant experience was hired, as I had not been a receptionist before, but it would have been curteous to let me know. If this was the case, I feel that inviting me to trial was a waste of my time and I would have appreciated if they were more upfront about what they were looking for. However, had they had the courtesy to reject me, I would have said the experience was positive, as everyone was friendly and the tasks were easy. I suppose, like lots of companies with high turnover, professionalism is not a priority in the hiring process.

Interview
Very easy process, invite to the interview was through Harri. Interview was very comfortable, just like meeting a friend for a coffee. Had the trail shift that same week. Trial shift was fun, team very welcoming and friendly.
