Several numbers were displayed on a piece of paper hanging on a wall on the other side of the room and I was asked how I would manipulate the data in excel. The numbers were not even related, just random numbers. I needed some context like what the numbers represented (loss ratios, claim payments, ages etc.) but they couldn't define what the numbers were. I used some general terms related to excel but they kept pressing me to be specific. I asked if they had a laptop and I would show them what I was referencing but they wanted me to explain step by step process in excel. This is difficult to do from random numbers on a piece of paper hanging on a wall.
