I had a second, competing offer that was for less money. I preferred the job at Anchor so I accepted. I got 2 emails from IT manager reaffirming his offer and assuring me it was a formality to get the CEO to sign off. A few hours later I got an email withdrawing the offer. Too late to go back to the other company who had moved on with another candidate. Anchor's hiring practice is horrible. I had 2 solid job offers one day, and a day later they left me high and dry with no job. Any offer from this company, especially if it comes from a "manager', is worthless until you have it in writing from the CEO. I'd advise NOT quitting a job for this company, or disposing of a competing offer. It could end disastrous for you like it did for me.
