We spend a lot of time establishing connections with local leaders, such as state representatives, tribal leaders, and other decision makers. PNM's policy does not allow us to charge alcohol on our company credit cards, but "let's be real here", many of these meetings take place at happy hour or over dinner or in large groups during the Round House each year. Do you mind picking up the tab sometimes for some of these people, especially if helps push our proposed policy along?

I said Yes, I do have a problem because the company policy does not allow me to pay for alcohol, so I shouldn't be doing it with personal money either. I was later told that I answered that incorrectly. I should have said that I cannot answer the question without reviewing their policy first, and the Director interviewing me also said "but between you and me, just tell me how much you spent and I'll make sure we get you back for it. We just don't want anyone too wasted and getting in a wreck on their way home."
