About the Organisations
Grey Sim Learnings Foundation (GSLF) is a pan-India non-profit organisation operating in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector. Its for-profit sister entity, FGSPL, supports the commercial and operational arms of the same mission. Together, they design, deliver, and manage vocational skilling programmes with a focus on industry-aligned curriculum, placement outcomes, and learner employability across India.
GSLF and FGSPL are at an active inflection point — integrating Artificial Intelligence tools into curriculum design, learner engagement, content production, and operations. The technology team plays a central role in this transformation.
Role Overview
We are looking for a sharp, execution-oriented technology professional to serve as the CTO's second-in-command. This is a hands-on leadership role — equal parts strategic thinking, delivery ownership, and technical depth. The ideal candidate will own the technology stack across GSLF and FGSPL, drive AI-led initiatives, and function as the operational backbone of the tech team.
This role is not for someone who manages from a distance. We need someone who can design a system in the morning and get their hands dirty in the afternoon.
Key ResponsibilitiesAI & Technology Implementation
- Lead the design and deployment of AI-powered tools across operations — content generation, assessment automation, learner engagement, and placement systems
- Build and maintain an AI Governance framework covering tool usage policies, data privacy, output quality, and ethical use within a skilling context
- Evaluate and onboard AI platforms, LLM APIs, and automation tools aligned with GSLF's TVET mission
- Stay current with advances in Generative AI, RAG pipelines, and AI-assisted instructional design
Business Requirements & Systems Design
- Own the BRD (Business Requirements Document) process — gather, structure, and translate stakeholder needs into technical specifications
- Lead system architecture decisions for the LMS, Placement App, and internal tools
- Design scalable, low-cost cloud solutions on AWS (EC2, S3, Route 53, VPC) aligned with organisational budget constraints
- Work with vendors, developers, and content teams to deliver projects on time
Product & Design Thinking
- Apply UX/UI design sensibility to student-facing and trainer-facing digital products
- Create wireframes, user flows, and product specifications for new digital initiatives
- Ensure the LMS and Placement App deliver measurable engagement and outcome improvements
- Champion a design-first approach to problem solving across the tech team
Operations & Governance
- Manage the IT infrastructure roadmap — cloud costs, vendor contracts, licenses, and tech stack hygiene
- Build and maintain documentation standards — SOPs, technical specs, and audit-ready compliance records
- Support NCVET and regulatory compliance requirements from a technology and data perspective
- Deputise for the CTO in internal and external meetings as required
- Ability to lead the team of Hardware expert and other IT team Members.
Required Qualifications & SkillsMust-Have
- 5–6 years of overall experience in a technology role, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity
- Hands-on experience with AI tools — LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini), prompt engineering, AI-assisted workflows
- Strong BRD writing and requirements gathering skills — can sit with a non-technical stakeholder and produce a structured, actionable specification document
- Product and UI/UX design knowledge — comfortable with tools like Figma, wireframing, or equivalent
- Cloud infrastructure experience — AWS preferred (EC2, S3, Route 53); understands cost optimisation
- Strong written and verbal communication — can write clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
Good to Have
- Experience in the EdTech, skilling, or TVET sector
- Familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, custom LMS, or similar)
- Knowledge of NCVET, NSQF, or MSDE skilling frameworks
- Experience building or managing placement or tracking systems
- Exposure to video production workflows or e-learning content pipelines
Who We Are Looking For
The right person for this role combines technical credibility with the ability to think at a systems level. You should be someone who:
- Gets things done without waiting to be told twice
- Can hold ambiguity and structure chaos into a clear plan
- Treats documentation and governance as a discipline, not a chore
- Is genuinely curious about how AI is reshaping education and workforce development
- Can earn the trust of both the CTO and non-technical leadership through delivery and communication
- Understands that in a non-profit context, impact per rupee spent matters as much as technical elegance
- Is comfortable with a CTC range of ₹12–15 LPA and values mission, ownership, and growth over pay-scale — candidates expecting above ₹15 LPA need not apply
What We Offer
- A high-ownership, high-trust role at the centre of a meaningful social mission
- Exposure to cutting-edge AI implementation in a real-world TVET context
- Direct mentorship and working relationship with an experienced CTO
- The opportunity to build systems, frameworks, and teams from the ground up
- Fixed CTC of ₹12–15 LPA based on experience and fit. This is a mission-driven role — candidates whose expectations exceed ₹15 LPA are not the right fit for this position
We are an equal opportunity organisation and welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Health insurance
- Provident Fund
Work Location: In person
