EDUCATION : Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science

JOB DESCRIPTION :

The ETL Developer’s role is to design and develop enterprise data warehouse (EDW), data analysis and reporting solutions and to maintain software solutions in support of business objectives. This includes developing database interfaces to on premise and online multi-tier web and client-server applications, maintaining databases, understanding and evaluating business requirements and translating them into solutions.

MANDATORY TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Must have strong experience utilizing tools and systems on the MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSIS, SSRS, and TSQL, PowerPivot, PowerBI, Power Query, MDX and DAX.
• Proficiency with SSAS Tabular models
• Ability to quickly stage & shape data from data warehouses into reporting and analytics solutions
• Understanding of & experience in optimizing / tuning SSAS Tabular models & Excel PowerPivot models
• Deep understanding of database fundamentals, including relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTP, and OLAP
• Experience with Big Data Technologies: Azure Data Lake/ USQL / Cosmos is plus

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data warehouse and business intelligence system management
  • Design and develop enterprise data warehouse, data analysis and reporting solutions.
  • Manage, monitor and maintain all components of solutions to ensure integrity, stability and high availability.
  • Contribute to and maintain appropriate documentation for DW/BI systems, processes, procedures, and solutions.
• DW/BI Solutioning
  • Collaborate with business users and programmer analysts in conceptualizing and development of the DW solution.
  • Review and analyse data from multiple sources.
  • Design and develop Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions.
  • Develop data cleansing rules.
  • Design, run and monitor performance tests on new and existing systems for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Train end users on new or modified applications and reports.
  • Experience in working on Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill with respect to core Azure Services (I.e. Storage, Cloud Services, Networking, Availability Sets, Azure Load Balancers, Virtual Machines and Azure Active Directory)
  • Ability to deploy and integrate Core Microsoft Windows Server Services On-Premises, Azure and Hybrid Solution
• Good to have:
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) in Business Intelligence
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer Certification
  • Extensive relational database experience with SQL server
  • Extensive business intelligence report and dashboard experience
  • Experience design and developing business intelligence solutions using Power BI and Tableau.

• Working in onshore/ offshore model with flexibility
• Working in Agile/ DevOps model in a fast-track, challenging environment
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills
