Whiting-Turner Contracting provides construction management, general contracting, and design/build services, primarily for large commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects in the US. A key player in retail construction, the employee-owned company also undertakes such projects as biotech cleanrooms, theme parks, historical restorations, senior living residences, educational facilities, stadiums, and corporate headquarters for such clients as AT&T and General Motors. Whiting-Turner Contracting has some 30 locations throughout the US. G.W.C. Whiting and LeBaron Turner founded the company in 1909 to build sewer lines.
