Itissalat Al-Maghrib, or IAM, a leading telecommunications company based in Morocco, provides fixed-line and mobile phone, Internet, and cable television services. The company (which does business as Maroc Télécom) operates through subsidiaries including the Mauritel Group (fixed-line, mobile, Internet in Mauritania, Africa), Mobisud Belgique and Mobisud France (mobile virtual network providers in Belgium and France), Onatel Group (fixed-line, mobile, Internet company in Burkino Faso), and Telmob (mobile division of Onatel). Founded in 1998, Maroc serves its local customers in hundreds of local retail offices and has overseas distributors in China, the UK, and the US, among other countries.
