Cons

Pros
ARBA Retail Systems is a good company to work with if you are looking for a challenging as well as rewarding job. The company has recently won the "Best of Naperville - 2014" award for Software category. The PoS software of ARBA is one of the best in the industry. The company deals with PoS solutions for Retail and healthcare industries. So, it is a good choice for anybody who want to acquire industry knowledge of Retail/Healthcare. The clients range from small businesses to corporate entities, so working with the clients is challenging.
Cons
ARBA Retail Systems is evolving and there is still a scope of better HR practices. Not for people who cannot survive challenges on a day-to-day basis.
Pros
Working at ARBA has challenged me in ways that have caused me to grow as a professional and as a person while rising to the challenges that the job presents. I am only able to do this because I am supported by a great team and great leaders. The company is small in size but this means we must support each other and rely on one another to each do our part. We are only as strong as our teammates make us. The small size also means that accomplishments are recognized more readily and support and guidance are that much closer. Any of us here can call our boss and he has always made time that very day to speak with us, help us, and teach us. I have great faith in the people I work for and with. Management is also very understanding that everyone has a life outside of work and is very supportive when PTO or vacation time is taken. They are also protective of employees overworking or overstressing themselves. I've have been told many times that "Family is what's important - family comes first" and to make sure I am relaxing and taking care of myself. This is something seldom seen in many workplaces. Business has been growing and progressing a lot at ARBA recently. Customer support has been made a priority. The help desk has been scaled up and help is provided to our customers more quickly and efficiently. Our clients are growing happier and are being moved to our newer and updated software which has greatly decreased technical support issues. The company is expanding and has partnered with a great hardware company (Touch Dynamic) providing better equipment and faster support to our customers. ARBA is also being recognized with such accolades as the 2014 Best of Naperville Award in the Computer Software category and a place in CIO Review's Top 10 Point of Sale vendors. It feels great to be part of a company that I can take pride in and I have been enjoying playing a part in helping grow this company.
Cons
This job is not for everyone. The small size of the company can put pressure on each member of the team and if you are not careful you can put a lot of needless pressure on yourself instead of using the ample support that is provided at ARBA. From time to time you must wear many hats when working here. Working at ARBA can be challenging but it is only because management believes you can rise to the task and succeed. Being given all the answers does not make you grow, but being given support and trust brings growth even if it carries challenges and a bit of stress along with it.
