Able to be responsible for all HR areas. Good training for senior HR Generalist or HR Mgr position at a small to mid-size company.
Cons
Lack of discretionary dollars limits programs one can implement from benefit enhancements to training programs.

Pros
Able to see results of your decisions quickly. Meet and know all of the staff. Good work life balance. Utilize cost saving skills from past operational work experience to save significant dollars. Developed independent thinking as it relates to problem solving since the "buck" often stopped at my desk. Owner very conscientious about his staff.
Cons
Lack of fiscal resources and space often curtailed the implimentation of training, enhancing benefit programs, minor facility improvements, and even low cost employee recognition programs.
