This is a boiler room, the title of portfolio manager is completely misleading. You are expected to dial and connect the seniors to meetings. There is a complete hire and fire culture and those who have survived are some of the most abhorrent people you will ever meet. One MD had blatent examples of sexism and their version of fun is listening to past employees failures at cold calling. You are expected to get food for the entire team and essentially spend as much money as you possibly can. Every morning, you will participate in cold calling practice and work starts at 730 every day with the expectation to work until 8. If you dont work on weekends, you will get fired.
