Pros

Butler/Till is a strong place to work overall, especially if you value a collaborative culture and being surrounded by smart, supportive people. Anyone who’s worked at a truly toxic job before understands how good it is to work here. The company does a good job fostering a team-first environment where employees feel respected and where leadership genuinely seems to care about people. Other pros- ESOP , immediate 401 k match w/o vesting. Great coworkers, fun “perks” like food and swag. Career growth opportunities and the ability to learn new skills and cross train.

Cons

the company is in a period of rapid growth. While that creates exciting opportunities, it can also lead to some growing pains. Better to work at a company that is expanding than contracting though. That said, the growing pains can make it hard to have a work life balance; which is something the company has historically championed. Processes and structures are still evolving, which can sometimes make things feel a bit unclear or fast-moving. For employees who are comfortable with change and adaptability, it can be energizing—but for others it may feel challenging at times as the organization continues to scale.

Pros

ESOP: The employee ownership model is a real motivator. Knowing there is a direct financial connection to the company’s success encourages long-term thinking and accountability. Facilities: The office space is clean, spacious, and updated, with plenty of natural light. Access to leadership: Even as an individual contributor, I regularly see and interact with members of the C-suite, which fosters transparency and approachability. B Corp values: Butler/Till places a strong emphasis on sustainability and community involvement. From composting in the office to supporting fundraising efforts, food drives, and volunteer opportunities, these values feel embedded in day-to-day operations. Professional development: There are consistent opportunities to attend workshops and webinars. When there is something relevant to my growth or role, the company is supportive of participation.

Cons

The company has experienced a period of rapid growth, which naturally comes with some growing pains as processes evolve. That said, leadership has been thoughtful and intentional in navigating this growth, and I feel confident in the direction the company is heading.
