Pros

- ETR is a values-based organization and that is apparent in all of the work we do. I've never worked at a place that was so committed to advancing health equity and improving health outcomes. I love knowing that my work has a significant impact in communities across the country. - I love the diversity of projects and expertise at ETR. It's incredible to be in an environment where you work alongside researchers, behavioral scientists, trainers, designers, sales representatives, web developers, and customer service staff all within a single day - ETR provides incredible employee benefits. In addition to "the usual", there are a number of ways that staff are encouraged to prioritize well-being, both at work and at home. It's by far the most family-friendly job I've ever had!

Cons

Some projects are currently understaffed, but the leadership team is actively looking at building additional infrastructure to bring on new roles and supports.

Pros

ETR has been doing serious reflecting and implementing intentional changes and restructuring over the past couple of years to not only promote equity in our work but also across the company. I feel that leadership are genuinely interested in what staff have to say about how to improve equity, work-life balance, and overall wellbeing at ETR. They've also been responsive to feedback, including improving already wonderful and comprehensive benefits, supporting novel diverse strategic planning, and providing various and interesting ways to engage with colleagues outside of project work (a must when working remotely!). At ETR, I feel that I matter as a person, not just an employee, and I am encouraged to and supported in showing up as my whole self.

Cons

I don't have personal experience with this but have heard from colleagues that the promotion process can be a bit time consuming and some pathways are less clear than others.

Pros

Colleagues with expertise and skills who are also warm and decent. A company culture that doesn't just talk about equity when facing outward, but practices it facing towards its own employees.

Cons

From time to time, internal processes (expense reports as one example) are a bit amateurish.
