I had the privilege of working with some talented and beautiful minds at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? (O2E Brands) and they will be valued thought partners in my community for the many years that follow our junky ones. While this company seems capable of attracting great talent, they don’t seem to have a cohesive organization or the right management practices to accept and enable the change they aspire to see. In my humble opinion, this company’s compass seems to be permanently oriented to chaos.

In my brief time within the small corporate function at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? (O2E Brands), I believe that there was scattered direction/vision from the top and little to no action on shaping the company for the future. I feel senior leaders seemed to frequently talk the talk but couldn’t walk the walk. I observed what seemed to be a) toxic trends in management, b) constant and messy restructurings, c) leaders hung up on the old way despite things falling through the cracks, and d) much divide and distrust across teams. In hindsight, I feel that working at this company was a leap backward in my career. If you’re looking for that next opportunity to grow and shape work that matters, I’d recommend going elsewhere.
