Standoffish, rude team members, fake niceness at every turn, and toxic managers who push you to the point of burnout while watching you struggle mentally and exhaust yourself. The lack of diversity is ridiculous and disheartening. Office politics is a joke.

Couple things: The biggest thing is blatant micromanaging and favoritism from senior management, especially CDs, Brand, and Project management teams. I've seen creatives compete with each other through performative praise to seniors and people pleasing behaviors. I was thrown under the bus a couple times by brand and project managers who straight up ignore creatives concerns and needs. They only really take you seriously if you're ACD level and literally every person underneath that level (designers, social team, copywriters, senior or not) that I've talked to has brought up 1) burnout, 2) no work/balance, and 3) an unmanageable workload.
