Pros
Pay can be pretty good for the type of work when orders are plentiful and stores aren't behind. Occasionally they offer extra incentive rewards for doing specific trips at specific times. Lots of flexibility. Just turn the app on and work whenever you want. On the intermittent good day I might make $100 in 4 hours of work.
Cons
Walmart/Spark DOES NOT respect your time! Lots of time wasted in the parking lot due to Walmart stores slow/overwhelmed operations. The software that pushes the trip offerings out to drivers is clunky and has a poor UX. It provides a recommended arrival time for the driver to pickup the order, even though often the items have not yet been picked from the shelves and the driver must wait. If a store is behind on order picking and bringing orders out, you have to wait at least 30 minutes before you can cancel the pickup without being penalized, and on top of that Walmart only compensates you $2.50 for the half hour of wasted time. When this scenario occurs, all together you may have spent 45 minutes or more traveling to the store and waiting, using your own car and gas, and be compensated for it at a rate well below minimum wage. Walmart does NOT respect your time.
