Pros
Working in an editorial is about relearning and being discipline in one’s approach to write career. I realized it off late after having left the organization recently. It’s been very hard to survive in editorial, especially when you know you have seniors watching you through your copies everyday. Be it news postings or writing articles or performing to meet the deadlines, depending upon the conferences’ timing or receiving copies at the 11th hour, everything has turned a memory to me. When I joined here I was completely unknown to the kind of a discipline one has to maintain while brining out a news copy or article. I was unknown to the kind of quality it takes to maintain the benchmark of our magazines. It’s been tough understanding all this in last two years here. As I’ve moved to a reputed company, I thank elets for grooming me to the point of rediscovering my true potential and performing in challenging situations.
Cons
It seems stupid enough if you start a life where you constantly think of how to compete or be better than others. I always hated the idea of losing patience whenever it comes to getting close to deadlines. I disliked becoming turning a workaholic here.
