Pros
- There are a few honest people working there, trying to make a living and actually help customers. - The antivirus program, which is not their own but just labelled as their own, actually works. However, the prices of Mysecuritycenter are ridicules, especially the hidden renewals (easy way to trick unaware customers who doesn't read the things with small)
Cons
- Scamming! If it wasn't for at least some decent employees actually trying to help customers, this would be only bad. However, the working method is brutal, money orientated and complete dishonest. -> install program that shows 100s of threats (mostly fakes) on customers computer -> convince them they are in great danger of especially fishing (works tremendously on the naive, elder and people without it skills -> sell Antivirus program (the only real thing) and lot of add-ons (mypctuneup is the prime example of a program which actually slows the computer) -> once you are a customer hidden automatic renewals are certain. - Oh, employees are presented as Microsoft certified technicians. I never was, just like none of my colleagues in sales never where. The reason I found out about the "real business", was due to the amount of customers calling in after a sales person had messed up their computer in the selling process. One sales person manage to delete drives, because they in his expert opinion used to my CPU power. - Customers are also harassed, with hidden prices, hidden automatic renewals, threats on trustpilot etc. - Trustpilot and threats. The company has no bad reviews for two reasons. The CEO's relentless effort to go after anybody stating a honest opinion. Multiple journalist has been sued (and incredibly successful) and all negative reviews on Trustpilot are treated with intimidation. The CEO will call personally if he can not pay to get a bad review removed. ->->->->->->-> I expect he will come after this one to <-<-<-<-<-<-<- - Many other bad things, but in short it took me a few months to see through the facade. I feel sorry for the people who has no choice but to work there and the customers, especially the naive, who pay so much money for nothing.
