Pros

Salary lower than market rate Micro management Data department is a total mess, without anyone accountable - in general anyone can write a model without any standards, they save money on Google cloud so testing is discouraged, people push untested changes which then stop half of the important models. No design, no ownership, anyone can make changes to whatever pipelines they want but then analytics engineering team has to clean up the mess. Setting any standards is impossible as the department is run by data scientists who have no clue about why you need to design and why you need to test your changes. It’s like people throw over the fence some crappy dev - plus quite often they go on holidays after. If you are a professional with experience don’t bother as you’ll have to unlearn everything you’ve been taught. Fire fighting every day and no one looks at reasons , only golden medals go to people who for instance roll back the faulty change they developed. Steer clear!
