Pros

There are too many reviews here harping on just the bad. Any company taking off like a rocket ship is bound to have a lot of opportunities for improvement. Beachbody has done a lot for me over the past year of employment and I know how impactful Glassdoor reviews are so I figured the least I could do is add one focusing on just the good. The company’s Core Purpose is to help you live a healthy, fulfilling life. In no particular order here are the top three reasons how Beachbody has done that for me: 1. Health & Fitness: Unlimited shakeology, supplements, etc. with multiple on-site gyms and showers that you’re encouraged to use during the workday without stigma. 2. Core Hours (10a.m. to 4p.m.): There’s a night and day difference from 2015 to 2016 in how committed the company has been to helping employees live healthy, fulfilling lives. Just one e.g. is the implementation of the Core Hours policy in 2016, and words literally can’t describe how happy it’s made me. 3. Long-term Employee Investment: The company makes investments into employees with the mentality of realizing their investment over the long-term. Where possible, the CIO and management are open to adjusting an employee’s job duties to help them live more fulfilling lives and to ultimately ensure they deliver the most value by staying at the company longer.

Pros

Employees were great to work with. They are loyal to company. Work was steady when company business was doing well. Remote work was a plus.

Cons

MLM structure didn't last. Once company went public, employees were dispensable if quarterly numbers weren't met. CEO had hand in everything and didn't let his professionals take the reigns when the company needed it the most. Constant turnover and layoffs were a standard post pandemic. Didn't receive a bonus for my last few years there.
