Pros
Some people were OK to work with and seemed intelligent
Cons
My experience at TVIT highlighted significant gaps in leadership, onboarding, and sales-enablement.
Training consisted entirely of 180+ hours of AI-narrated slide-show style content across 12+ technology stacks, with little interactive instruction, mentorship, or practical guidance. There was no formal structure for onboarding, no clearly defined ramp expectations, and no articulated success metrics until after hire.
Despite holding a sales-engineering role, I was not given access to the company’s sales inbox or visibility into inbound opportunities, which made it difficult to understand deal flow or meaningfully support sales efforts. Expectations to produce results existed, but the tools, context, and enablement to do so did not.
Role responsibilities and compensation structure diverged from the job description shortly after hire, including changes following an informal ramp period that was not clearly communicated upfront.
Additionally, the company vehicle provided to me appeared poorly maintained, and I personally experienced handling & visibility issues while driving, which raised safety concerns.
TVIT could significantly improve the employee experience by establishing clear onboarding structure, transparent compensation and ramp expectations, practical sales enablement, and hands-on mentorship. With better alignment between role expectations and actual support, this could be a far stronger environment for new hires.
